On!Track
On!Track is a comprehensive asset management and tracking solution specifically designed for the construction industry, enabling companies to track tools, equipment, and consumables in real-time from any device, whether through a mobile application or web platform
Design Leadership · UX Strategy & Research · User Interface Design · Management Development · Stakeholder Analysis
At Hilti, I served as Senior UX/UI Designer for ON!Track, a global asset management solution that gives clients comprehensive management, visibility, and accountability over their entire fleet of construction assets, workers, consumables, and commodities.
I worked closely with Product Owners, Managers, Marketing, Developers, and Designers to deliver high-fidelity concepts and solutions.
This large-scale project required daily collaboration with teams in Liechtenstein, Germany, India, and Malaysia.
I remotely managed an offshore team of UX/UI designers and designed a modular, systemic, standards-based design library-ensuring components, practices, and behaviors aligned with current needs and branding guidelines.
This approach enabled designers of all levels to build reliable, efficient interfaces and flows quickly and consistently.
Additionally, as part of a three-person team, I traveled to India and successfully negotiated a reduction in development effort estimates by over 50%, saving Hilti more than $1.5 million in a single quarter.
Background
On!Track is a cloud-based software platform that provides complete visibility and control over a construction company’s asset fleet. The application works through a combination of intelligent tags with Bluetooth technology, QR codes, and gateways that communicate with cloud-based software, allowing users to access information in real-time from any location.
The solution is designed to solve common problems in the construction industry, such as wasted time searching for tools, equipment theft, lack of visibility about where assets are located, and difficulty meeting safety and maintenance requirements.
UX research, analysis, ideation, strategy and planing
On!Track delivers a comprehensive suite of asset and resource management functions, enabling users to efficiently manage employee assignments, conduct in-depth audits of asset inventories, and streamline the ordering of materials and services. The platform’s multi-layered ecosystem incorporates a diverse range of stakeholder personas and user requirements, introducing varying degrees of complexity, constraints, and customization possibilities throughout each operational process. In my role, I collaborated closely with stakeholders, end users, and engineers, conducting targeted interviews and needs assessments to formulate optimal solutions for each scenario

Interface design
Project goals, findings, and industry standards guided the interface design for On!Track, ensuring that each user need was addressed within the project’s resources and timeline. I developed and maintained a comprehensive design library for the team of seventeen global designers whom I managed, trained, and supported daily

Every interaction, design update, and innovation was thoroughly documented to provide clarity and context for all team members, including stakeholders, designers, managers, and developers. This rigorous documentation process ensured consistent standards and facilitated effective communication across all project teams involved

Prototypes
Prototypes in UI are early models or simulations of a product’s interface used to test and validate design ideas before full development. They vary from simple sketches (low-fidelity) to interactive, realistic models (high-fidelity), allowing designers to explore user flows, identify usability issues, and gather feedback. The main purposes of prototypes are to visualize concepts, improve communication among stakeholders, reduce risks, and refine the user experience through iterative testing

Let’s collaborate.
Have a complex product challenge or a project that needs a senior eye? I’m always open to discussing new opportunities, design systems, or the future of UX.
